Don’t you remember how things used to be? It can be so again. I will make it so.

In this place… where I first laid eyes upon you. Here… the study, where I first heard you laugh.

There… the first time I dared reach out… touch your skin. When we were too young to know what it meant… whatever is between us. A simple embrace. Hearing your heartbeat. The catch in your breath as you pulled away.

Every corner of this place is ours - etched with our memories. Regardless of the other souls who have resided, who have temporarily claimed this as their own. No… even your daughter has been banished from this place now. This is not hers as she was not mine. Not ours. This… this is ours..

And in this room… this is where I really touched you. Where you really saw me. Where we came together as one, again and again… you could never stay away. Even when you had another… this room held our secret. You are mine. And I am yours.

This room… this is where you will stay. Forevermore. By my side, even in death. Until I may join you… this will be our sanctuary.

Over the years, you have tried, the heavens and earth know you have tried. To stop this. To stay away. Through the judgements of others, the chaos between us, the depravity we have both sunk to in our lowest moments… you could not stay away. (brief pause) You could not. And I would not. And so… we found our way back to each other… again and again.

“Nothing?”

Watching you wed another man… carry his child… it was too much for me to bear. So I left.
